Highlights of State Incentive Subsidy Schemes for MSME

The Government of Mizoram offers various incentive schemes to support and promote Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state. These subsidies are designed to reduce operational costs and encourage industrial growth.

📋 Application Process: Investors/entrepreneurs can avail subsidy under different heads by applying in prescribed application forms, available with the directorate on payment of Rs. 50/- per form.

Subsidy on Cost of Project Report

Eligibility:

All new Industrial Units within 5 years of existence

Amount Claimable:
  • 90% for micro enterprises (ceiling: Rs. 5,000/- per unit)
  • 75% for small enterprises (ceiling: Rs. 25,000/- per unit)
  • 50% for medium enterprises (ceiling: Rs. 50,000/- per unit)

Land Subsidy

Eligibility:

New Industrial unit established inside Notified Industrial Area within 5 years of existence

Amount Claimable:
  • 25% of lease charge/fee of allotted developed/undeveloped land for 5 years
  • 25% of amount spent on development of undeveloped land allotted to the unit

Factory Rent Subsidy

Eligibility:

New MSME occupying built-up factory sheds within declared Industrial Area on monthly/annual rent basis for 5 years from date of commencement of production

Amount Claimable:
  • 50% of duly assessed rent (ceiling: Rs. 30,000/- per unit per year)

Manpower Development Subsidy

Eligibility:

New and existing Industrial units

Amount Claimable:
  • 50% of actual course fee for training
  • Ceiling: Rs. 10,000/- per trainee
  • Ceiling: Rs. 50,000/- per unit per year

Interest Subsidy

Eligibility:

New Industrial unit

Amount Claimable:
  • Interest on loan paid in excess of 8.5% subsidized up to maximum 4%
  • Term loan: Maximum Rs. 3,60,000/- per year
  • Working capital loan: Maximum Rs. 1,20,000/- per year
  • If unit avails interest subsidy under NEIIPP, only shortfall amount applicable for working capital loan

Power Subsidy

Eligibility:

New MSME for 5 years from date of commencement of production

Amount Claimable:
  • 60% of total power expenditure for micro enterprises
  • 50% of total power expenditure for small enterprises
  • 30% of total power expenditure for medium enterprises

Subsidy on Power Line

Eligibility:

New MSME for 5 years from date of commencement of production

Amount Claimable:
  • 50% of actual expenditure (ceiling: Rs. 50,000/- per unit)

Subsidy on Power Generating Set

Eligibility:

New MSME for 5 years from date of commencement of production

Amount Claimable:
  • 50% of cost of captive generating set and installation charge
  • Ceiling: Rs. 3,00,000/- per unit

State Transport Subsidy on Plant & Machineries

Eligibility:

New MSME for 5 years from date of commencement of production

Amount Claimable:
  • 50% of actual cost of transportation by railway or road or both of plants and machineries
